Wednesday Comics

I may never have mentioned I'm a big comics fan. Wednesday Comics a DC imprint that had a 12 week run over the summer was a delight to read, I collected all 12 and then read back to back. Each issue has a 1 shot page of 15 DC characters in there roaster.

The standout reads for me were the Deadman, Kamandi, Metamorpho, Strange Adventures and Hawkman stories. A lot of it is real giddy fun that didn't take itself to seriously the exceptions as ever being Batman and Superman. Overall it was a great idea that was well executed and I hope DC do another run in 2010.

Small Metal Gods

As every with the interweb I fell across this new track from David Sylvian. The video is by Hiraki Sawa and is quite wonderful. Seems to be that Sylvian has found his edge again. In my music lexicon Sylvian has been around since the late 70's with Japan to his solo career going for over 25 years now. With this track he bring me back to past tracks that are etched upon my memory, I feel this track will have relevence for me in 20 years time as 'Upon this Earth' which I heard 20 years ago still has for me today.

This really slipped under the radar. Willy DeVille passed away. This track is a person favourite from his solo career after Mink DeVille. What a great voice he had.
